Independent Contractor Agreement
1. Independent contractor status
You are engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner of the company. You are responsible for your own taxes, licenses, tools, and insurance unless separately agreed in writing.
2. Background check and insurance
You consent to a background check as a condition of being dispatched to any property, and you confirm you hold valid liability insurance appropriate to your trade, which you agree to keep current and provide proof of on request. No dispatch occurs without both on file.
3. Liability and indemnification
You agree to perform your work to a professional standard and to indemnify the company against claims arising from your own negligence, misconduct, or breach of this agreement. The company's own liability to you and to property owners is limited as set out in a fully drafted version of this agreement.
4. Conduct at a property
You will not enter or begin work at a property until the company confirms the owner has been notified of the scheduled visit window. You will conduct yourself professionally and respect the property and any local contact present.
5. Force majeure
Given the operating environment in Lebanon, both parties acknowledge that political, security, utility, or infrastructure disruptions may delay or prevent scheduled work through no fault of either party, and agree that such events do not constitute a breach of this agreement.
6. Confidentiality
You agree to keep confidential any owner information, property access details, or documents you encounter while performing work under this agreement.
